High expectations: when teachers value academic achievement and hold the expectation that every student can, and should, work toward their potential.
A recent review of research suggests that teaches can ensure high expectations through:
- differentiated instruction
- individualised feedback
- frequent and meaningful classroom interactions
- providing students with challenging learning experiences
- encouraging continuous improvement.
