One unit of work

Like many terms used in education, ‘unit of work’ can mean different things.

In this context, ‘one unit of work’ refers to a sequence of learning activities in which students experience the same learning whether they are at home or school.

The duration could be a number of days or weeks.

The organisation of the content in a unit may vary according to the school, the teacher, the class, and the learning environment.

Teachers are encouraged to adapt their existing teaching and learning programs to enable students to continue their learning at home and school using modified tasks that would have been completed in the classroom under usual conditions.
