Electrician – Certificate III
Apprentices will learn to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment, in industrial, commercial and domestic settings.

Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician develops the practical and technical skills required by apprentice systems electrician, and the underpinning knowledge needed to apply those skills in the electrotechnology industry. It will enable apprentices to complete their on-the-job training, by applying their skills and knowledge to install and maintain electrical components, wiring, equipment and electrical systems.

Statement of Competencies Achieved for Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician UEE30820 in UEE11 Electrotechnology Industry Training Package.
A career path in the Electrotechnology trade.
Continuation in the Electrotechnology Electrician apprenticeship full time post school.
Course delivery
Will be delivered both on the job and off the job.
Two years part time during school, followed by three years full time post-school in both on and off the job training.
Commitment required
Undertake a minimum of 180 days in paid employment during school plus the formal training required for the qualification.
Undertake Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, and complete Stage 1 of this qualification.
The employment and training can be undertaken during school time, after school and during school holidays.
How will you be assessed?
Both on the job and off the job through written tests, project work and practical exercises.
