Aurora College
Aurora College is a virtual selective high school for rural or remote students. Students must enrol in a rural and remote NSW Government high school for Year 7 to be eligible for entry to Aurora College. Applicants must state the rural or remote government high school (host school) they intend to enrol their child in at the time of applying.
Students cannot access the Aurora College option while they are enrolled in a rural high school that is a partially selective high school.
Students enrolled at Aurora College attend their local government high schools and join the selective stream in English, mathematics and science using an online conferencing system. Students interact with teachers and other students through the virtual learning environment and residential school programs. Students can access a challenging academic program without leaving their community to do so.
Aurora College does not have a reserve list as all offers are made at the time of outcomes. This allows the College to make arrangements with the relevant local high schools.
