PART B - Functional Design Brief
Part B provides the Functional Design Brief, to help you identify what spaces are required, how many of each, and the design components that need to be included to meet project needs.
It includes Schedules of Accommodation (SoAs) for every school type—whether it’s a new build refurbishment or a renewal project.
Part B provides Schedules of Accommodation for existing and new projects, providing projects with the number and type of facilities required for all settings, including all sizes of new high school, public school, SSP, Pre-school and Halls. Separate schedules of accommodation are also provided for existing school projects commencing an upgrade.
This document provides clarity on which spaces and functions are required as part of your project.
Meeting the PART B outlined in this document does not replace obligations to meet other requirements of the EFSG.
