School details

Wytaliba Public School is a small multistage K-6 school in the beautiful forests of the Great Dividing Range between Glen Innes and Grafton. It is 2.5 hours to the beautiful beaches of Yamba and Coffs Harbour, 4 hours from Brisbane and 8 hours to Sydney.

Enrolments traditionally sit between 6-14 students, with all students enjoying shared lessons and activities. In 2024, 38% of students identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

The school was destroyed in the bushfires of 2019 and the new rebuild includes lovely new classrooms, a library, landscaping and two playgrounds. An all-purpose sports court is being installed soon.

Our school provides an excellent education for the students from the multiple occupancy community of Wytaliba and the wider local area. The multistage class provides individualised education programs to all students, with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.

The staff and community have high expectations for all students. Students at Wytaliba PS are encouraged to develop a love of learning, self-confidence, and strong personal values. These together with sound academic skills, provide a foundation for happy and productive lives.

Parents and the community members demonstrate confidence in the education and care provided to students. They are strong supporters of the school through the P&C and fundraising events. The local community often attend events at school and the school site has been used as a venue for adult learning for workshops and training.
