Overview: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to negotiate and tailor their placement based on their unique strengths and expertise. This placement will primarily focus on supporting student growth and attainment, aligning with our school improvement plan. Strategic Direction 1 of our plan emphasizes enhancing learning outcomes in literacy and numeracy for all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement whole-school literacy and numeracy initiatives.
  • Provide intensive small-group tuition to support student learning and growth.
  • Engage in team teaching to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Develop and deliver individualized programs targeting diverse student needs, including those with high potential gifted education (HPGE) and additional needs.
  • Participate in professional learning opportunities to further enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Supportive involvement in the school community, including interactions with students, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience and demonstrated effectiveness in supporting student growth and attainment.
  • Strong understanding of literacy and numeracy pedagogy, with the ability to apply evidence-based practices.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with additional needs and high-potential gifted education.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
