Student learning is supported through evidence-based teaching practices and resources including one-to-one laptops, iPads, a well-resourced library, LEGO robotics, and excellent sporting equipment. We have a newly established Stephanie Alexander kitchen/garden program and consistently use DoE resources to support a developing STEM program. Garah Public connects with neighbouring local schools for a variety of sporting activities, creative pursuits, and enrichment experiences.

Garah Public School prides itself on offering a safe, inclusive environment that fosters a sense of belonging both within the school and the local community. We have a strong focus on curriculum development and delivery, meeting the individual needs of our students, as well as providing a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities to enrich student learning experiences. Teachers enjoy strong collegial relationships and partnerships with students and parents. Garah Public School is well supported by an active P&C and the wider community. As part of the Barwon Network and Barwon Community of Small Schools, opportunities for professional learning and development are well supported by face-to-face and online learning sessions.
