School details

Coomealla High School (population 230, 44% Aboriginal students) is located on Barkindji country in the Wentworth Shire close to the Victorian regional hub of Mildura. As a comprehensive high school, it offers a broad curriculum from Year 7 to 12 in a caring and friendly environment where teachers know their students and focus on academic achievement and wellbeing, in a positive school culture.

Coomealla High School boasts the best of both worlds, with a small school/small community charm and the added benefit of a regional centre just a stone’s throw away. As mentioned earlier, the school is 20 minutes away from Mildura a vibrant regional city camped on the beautiful Murray River.

As a Connected Communities school, we have a strong link with the local community driven by our Senior Leader Community Engagement, who provides a communication conduit between the school, Aboriginal families, local agencies and the community.
