Perspectives on AI in education
Generative AI can address current challenges in education by empowering educators to disrupt traditional models of teaching and provide personalised learning experiences for students. This can support the growth of an equitable and outstanding education system.
Generative AI has the potential to support quality teaching and learning and reduce administrative workload in NSW schools. However, rapid technological advancements come with risks and challenges. Therefore, it is crucial for educators and leaders to use generative AI thoughtfully, ethically, and purposefully. Educators should be provided with support and guidance to effectively manage these considerations in order to fully utilise the benefits of high-quality and safe generative AI.
