Once the game is over, discuss successful and unsuccessful plays and strategies. These conversation starters are a great way to deconstruct a game that’s powered by maths:

• "At what point did you realise you were going to win or lose the game? How did you know?"
• "If we were to play again tomorrow, what would you do differently? Why?"
• "Did you make a move that didn't go as planned? What did you miscalculate? What might you do differently next time?"
