HSC Common Start Funding
The HSC Common Start program provides funds for newly created Year 12 classes.
Principals use an online form to indicate the number of additional classes formed to cater for:
- English Extension 2
- Mathematics Extension 2
- History Extension
- Music Extension
- Science Extension
- Language extension courses.
Applications open in November for schools that create additional extension classes which commence in Term 4 2023 to cater for students working towards the 2024 HSC.
Applications open Wednesday 1 November 2023.
Applications close Friday 1 December 2023.
From Term 1, funding should be used to support the HSC teacher and/or students.
Support may include, but is not limited to:
- Professional learning
- Purchasing resources
- Mentoring for the extension teacher.
