Road
Tibooburra is situated in the far northwest corner of NSW, about 1300km from Sydney along the Mitchell Highway (14-hour drive) and about 800km from Dubbo (9-hour drive). Its nearest remote neighbours are Broken Hill (350km, 4-hour drive) and White Cliffs (270km, three and a half hour drive).
Rail
NSW Trainlink offers rail and bus service to Broken Hill, or you can fly to Broken Hill with a domestic carrier. You can then rent a vehicle in Broken Hill for the remainder of the journey, or hire a local driver. There is no regular scheduled bus service between Tibooburra and Broken Hill.
