Celebrating its 40th year, NSW Department of Education Secretary Murat Dizdar said School Spectacular was a showcase of the extraordinary performing arts talent in public schools.

“This annual event celebrates the creativity, passion, and dedication of students and staff, who have been tirelessly rehearsing for months to perform at the highest level in a show that will leave audiences speechless,” Mr Dizdar said.

“Beyond just entertainment, Schools Spectacular showcases the role performing arts education plays in nurturing young talent, student wellbeing and engaging our students with school.”

With tickets now on sale, Mr Dizdar encouraged the broader school community to join in celebrating 40 years of the Department of Education’s marquee event.

“By attending Schools Spectacular, you are not only treating yourself to a sensational evening, but also contributing to the growth of arts education in NSW public schools,” he said.

“I’ll be there, and I encourage everyone else to join me.”
