Scholarships can change student lives

Applications are now open for the Public Education Foundation’s student scholarships.

The Public Education Foundation’s life-changing scholarships help students overcome barriers to achievement created by social and economic disadvantage, and acknowledge academic excellence.

Applications for the annual scholarships are now open with hundreds of scholarships on offer providing financial and academic support to public school students experiencing disadvantage.

Scholarships are available in a range of areas including for students with disability, Aboriginal students, students with refugee background, performing arts, primary and secondary, and transition to tertiary education.

The Public Education Foundation has already reported a rise in applicants this year with applications closing on dates throughout August and September.

Successful applicants may receive financial support to assist with educational expenses to purchase school supplies, laptops, provide internet access or other study aids.
