Kingsgrove High School hosted its annual Future Links Expo on Friday 9 June, giving students from Kingsgrove North High School, Beverly Hills Girls High School and Wiley Park Girls High School a valuable opportunity to explore career pathways.

Kingsgrove High School principal Olga Sofo said students gained valuable knowledge and understanding through their participation in the expo.

“The expo is a stepping stone towards a brighter future,” Ms Sofo told students.

”It is an occasion to dream big, to expand your horizons, and to ignite the fire within you. Remember that success is not merely a product of talent, but also of exploration, perseverance, and the ability to make informed choices.”

Apprenticeship companies, education providers and top-tier universities took part in the event including UNSW, UTS, Macquarie University, the Universities Admissions Centre (NSW &ACT), NSW Police Recruitment, Defence Force Recruiting and NECA Training and Apprenticeships.

“The expo is an opportunity for students to align their passions with the requirements of their dream career. By understanding the demands and expectations of various professions, students can make informed decisions about their educational journey,” Ms Sofo said.

“Students from other local schools were invited to hear from leading career experts and have a think about which direction they really want their education to take them.”

The Future Links Careers Expo also inspired the broader school community. Parents of Kingsgrove High School students could also attend sessions to learn how to support their child’s pathway to career success.
