All versions of the EFSG are used for contractual purposes in the design and delivery of new and upgraded school facilties. The following is a list of which version would apply to the school project in question.
- The EFSG 2025 is the current version from 1 July 2025 and are applicable for all new-builds and refurbishments in NSW schools.
- EFSG 2.0 and its accompanying Technical Standards are for all projects whose funding ( i.e. business case) was approved between to 31st March 2023 to 1st July 2025.
- For all projects whose funding ( i.e. business case) was approved prior to 30 March 2023, the EFSG 1.0 applies.
Note: Later versions may apply in particular cases and are subject to the projects defined/revised scope and any overriding regulatory requirements. It is the responsibility of the consultant/contractor to confirm this with SINSW.
