Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) – Kit of Parts (KoP) Library

School Infrastructure NSW is leading through innovation to deliver a new age of school building, driving positive change that will create a sustainable market in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). The educational infrastructure we are building reflects our ambition to enable the rapid delivery of high quality, efficient and sustainable educational infrastructure to create flexible, contemporary learning environments that support teachers and students to achieve outstanding learning outcomes.

Kit of Parts (KoP)

SINSW has created a digitally enabled concept design based on standardisation, This approach is material agnostic and the parts are based on open BIM platforms compatible for designers, contractors and manufacturers allowing repeatable and compliant school buildings to be manufactured and assembled.

Buildings

To formulate the MMC Kit of Parts (KOP), reference designs utilising Standardised HUB's (as per EFSG) have been developed as follows:

1. Large High School - 3 & 4 Storey

2. Large Primary School - specific HUBs only

3. 1xGLS HUB - 1 Storey

4. 4xGLS HUB Building - 3 Storey

Hubs

Standardised Hubs, comprised of standardised assemblies; hubs available for a range of learning spaces for Large High and Primary Schools.

Assemblies

Standardised building assemblies, comprised of standardised components; including floor systems, panelised walls, roofs, beams, columns, facades, MEP, joinery etc.
