Three schools are non-operational Wednesday 8 April and Thursday 9 April

Middle Harbour Public School, Bronte Public School and Waverley Public School will be operational for at home learning only for Wednesday 8 April and Thursday 9 April 2020

The department has been advised by NSW Health that a staff member at Middle Harbour Public School and an external provider at Bronte Public School and Waverley Public School have tested positive for COVID-19.

The schools will be non-operational for the on-site attendance of staff and students while the school completes the contact tracing process and is cleaned.

Staff and students who are identified as a close contact of the staff member or external provider who returned a positive test will be contacted and advised they should self-isolate for the required period of time.

The safety and wellbeing of our students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.

The schools will continue to support students with the existing at home learning arrangement in place while the school site is non–operational. Students will be engaging in prepared resources and online materials for the remainder of the term. Learning materials online through the Department’s Learning from Home site.

Further information on COVID 19 is available on NSW Health website. If you have any education related questions please contact 1300 338 679 (1300 EDU NSW).
