Share our Space opening up school grounds this winter

We are opening hundreds of NSW public schools these winter holidays for local communities to share our open spaces.

We are sharing our space again during these school holidays. Come visit your community’s safe and open spaces to exercise or just relax. It’s a great way to stay fit and healthy at your local space.

Public schools all across NSW will be opening their gates these winter school holidays and locals will be invited to use school facilities, ensuring that the communities get as much use out of their local public schools as possible.

The program will be operating in participating schools throughout the school holidays from Monday 28 June to Friday 9 July, from 8 am to 5 pm.

In line with current public health advice, the program will continue as planned, including in LGAs affected by COVID-19 rules and restrictions.

Additional signage has been provided to remind visitors to maintain appropriate physical distancing and COVID safe hygiene practices. External cleaning services have also been provided to all participating schools throughout the holidays and at the end of the program.

The NSW Government is investing $7.9 billion over four years, continuing its program to deliver 215 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
