Important staff update
A COVID-19 update for all NSW Education staff.
17 December 2020
Today NSW Health confirmed that a number residents in the Northern Beaches of Sydney tested positive for COVID-19.
NSW Health have advised people from the Palm Beach area to the Spit must stay at home to minimise the risk of further transmission.
In response to this advice, we advise that staff who live in the Northern Beaches Local Government Area or staff who travel into the Northern Beaches for work, should make plans to work remotely commencing tomorrow, Friday 18 December for the remainder of the year.
We also ask that all staff who work in our corporate offices in the Sydney metropolitan area to work remotely commencing tomorrow, Friday 18 December for the remainder of the year.
Staff should avoid coming together unless it is essential and should comply with physical distancing, personal hygiene requirements and comply with the public health advice at all times.
NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or if you develop any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.
Further information about COVID-19 is available on the NSW Health website.
The safety of our staff and the community is paramount. We will continue to work closely with NSW Health and will update staff as further information is received.
