Bankstown Senior College non-operational Monday 6 April
Bankstown Senior College will be non-operational for the on-site attendance of staff and students on Monday 6 April. The Department of Education has been advised by NSW Health that a student has tested positive for COVID-19.

We wish to advise you that Bankstown Senior College will be operational for at home learning only on Monday 6 April 2020. The school will be non-operational for the on-site attendance of staff and students on Monday 6 April 2020. The Department of Education has been advised by NSW Health that a student has tested positive for COVID-19.
The student last attended the school on Monday 23 March 2020. The school site will not be operational while the school completes the contact tracing process and is cleaned ready for school to resume on Tuesday 7 April 2020.
Staff and students who are identified as a Close Contact of the student who returned a positive test will be contacted and advised they should self-isolate for the required period of time.
The safety and wellbeing of our students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.
The school will continue to support students with the existing at home learning arrangement in place while the school site is non–operational. Students will be engaging in prepared resources and online materials until further notice.
When the school resumes operations on Tuesday 7 April 2020, in line with all schools, parents are encouraged to keep their children learning from home where possible.
Families who wish to keep their children at home can access learning materials online through the Department’s Learning from Home site.
