Outstanding VET learners and teachers can now be nominated for recognition in the NSW Training Awards.
31 January 2022
The NSW Department of Education is excited to announce applications for the 2022 NSW Training Awards are now open until 18 March 2022.
The awards are conducted annually by Training Services NSW within the NSW Department of Education to recognise outstanding achievement by individuals and organisations in the Vocational Education and Training sector.
The Awards, held at a Regional and State level, celebrate and reward the achievements of students, trainers & teachers, Registered Training Organisations, as well as large and small employers.
A key aim of the Awards is to discover ambassadors for the Vocational Education and Training sector and provide winners and finalists with a launching pad for opportunities in their industries and within their local communities.
If you are aware of an outstanding VET learner or teacher in their field of work or study, nominate them in one of seven individual award categories. Nominators can be employers, industry representatives, teachers or trainers, principals and Registered Training Organisations
The finalists in each Award category are recognised at regional events, where their accomplishments at work and study are celebrated. If applicants are successful at the regional level as a category winner they will go on to the state awards, leading to potential ambassador opportunities.
State winners will progress to the national level at the Australian Training Awards, where they’ll have the opportunity to meet and network with like-minded people from across the country and ultimately compete for the national title.
The Awards are the perfect platform for organisations to showcase their commitment to the VET sector and raise their profile in their sector.
