Relaxation breathing script

Regularly practising relaxation breathing can help reduce stress and feelings of anxiety, and improve overall wellbeing. This resource provides a short script that teachers or students can use to practice relaxation breathing. This script focuses on sensory input and uses short and simple language in order to cater for a range of abilities and preferences.

Note that some students, including some students on the autism spectrum, may find relaxation and mindfulness activities stressful, because it lacks structure and a clear goal or purpose.

These students may prefer alternative activities that have a clear structure and purpose, and that draw on their strengths and interests.
