Investment strengthens post-school pathways

2 May 2024

The NSW Government has committed to continuing the Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) program that has supported more than 1000 high school students to secure jobs.

The RIEP program is one of the ways the department is delivering on the Rural and Remote Education Strategy by building stronger industry partnerships to facilitate access to post-school pathways.

Strengthening professional connections

One of the key initiatives in our recently released Rural and Remote Education Implementation Plan focusses on strengthening professional connections among our regional, rural and remote staff.

Under the initiative we are delivering a series of connection days across regional NSW for both principals and early career teachers working in regional, rural and remote schools. The events are modelled on the award-winning Principal Connection Day series rolled out in 2023.

For more information about the events including, dates, locations and how to register, email the Regional, Rural and Remote Education Policy team.
