Sample unit of work

This sample unit of work (DOCX 90 KB) for the Preliminary course explores Catullus poems 1, 3, 5, 11, 13, 50 and 51. Designed for 10 weeks of learning, it includes a range of activities and strategies to support students to read, understand, analyse literary features and translate these poems of the first century BCE poet Gaius Valerius Catullus.

Sample assessment task

A sample task for the Preliminary course on Catullus poem 50 (DOCX 76 KB), which assesses outcomes 1.1, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.5. The task includes marking guidelines. This task should not be used for assessment as it is in the public domain, however students could use the task for practice as part of the above unit of work.
