The 2018 videos were filmed at a number of events including the Sydney Writers’ Festival. Throughout the year we will be adding more fantastic features on reading, writing, illustrating and engaging with the wonderful world of books.

This information is crucial to ensure that events run smoothly for the NSW Premier's Spelling Bee. It is also transferable to class based spelling bees and whole school based spelling bees.

The Premier’s Debating Challenge is open to government schools throughout NSW, with age divisions for teams from Year 5 all the way up to Year 12. Teams entering the challenge compete in a round-robin series of debates against nearby schools, with the winners going on to compete at regional and state level to determine the eventual state champion.

The Premier’s Spelling Bee was introduced in 2004 as a fun and educational way for NSW Public School Primary students to engage in spelling. The program includes activities to encourage all students to improve their vocabulary and spelling and to promote literacy skills in combination with the English K-6 Syllabus.
