HSC monitoring advice

Schools develop monitoring procedures to ensure the delivery of Year 11 and Year 12 courses comply with NESA and department requirements.

Please review school processes to ensure they comply with the 2023 HSC monitoring advice.

By the end of Term 1 2023 principals are required to confirm that the necessary information has been disseminated and that satisfactory HSC monitoring procedures are in place. This is done by via the staff portal to access School Planning and Reporting Online (SPaRO). Then select the 'Curriculum and Policy' tab:

  • for the principal confirmation and Director, Educational Leadership endorsement of the HSC monitoring declaration (Appendix 2)
  • to input the HSC teacher support data collection for inexperienced or unsupervised teachers.
