Scheduling

The school readiness test format

  • The school readiness test (SRT) will include two assessments: a combined numeracy/literacy assessment (omnibus test) and a writing assessment.
  • The SRT window is between 14 August – 22 September.
  • The duration of each assessment will be  40 minutes, plus introduction time.
  • Year 3 students will complete the omnibus test only.

SRT structure

Room set up

  • Classes and cohorts can be split, and rooms can be scheduled accordingly.
  • There is no standard test space and every school will be different depending on available facilities and devices.
  • One Test Administrator must be available per test space, supervising students during the test using a dedicated device.
  • A Test Administrator must supervise students at all times and ensure that no proscribed material is brought into the room.

The test window

  • Schools will have five daytime slots to complete the SRT during the test window.
  • Schools will identify five days within the window to become familiar with the test platform, understand the test’s administration processes, and assess their readiness.
  • Writing should be completed anytime within the first two days only. The Omnibus can be completed any time within the five days after writing.SRT scheduling graphic
