Analysing VALID data in Scout, Adobe Connect session
Wednesday 25 March 2020 3.30pm to 4.30pm
The VALID data that appears in Scout can be a powerful resource to assist teachers in improving student outcomes. Using a simple template, the VALID team will walk through how to access the reports in Scout to develop a summary of the school's performance. The template can then be used by participants to present their analysis of the data to senior executive, school or faculty. The recording will be available here after the event. This is not a NESA registered course but may contribute to teacher identified hours.
Register here for the Analysing VALID data in Scout Adobe session. You will then receive the link required to access the Adobe Connect session on 25 March 2020.
Marker professional learning
Teachers in schools registered for VALID Science and Technology 6 and VALID Science 10 mark the extended responses for their school after completing registered online training.
Teachers will be credited with five hours of NESA registered professional learning.
In-school marking provides insights for teachers into the level of understanding and skills demonstrated by students. This assists ongoing planning for teaching and learning.
Details of the 2020 face-to-face and Adobe Connect sessions will be available here after registrations for VALID close. These sessions are not mandatory but are available to support the online courses for marking.
Courses available on request
A number of NESA registered professional learning courses are available including analysing VALID data and VALID item writing. Contact the VALID team for further information.
