Communities of Inquiry

SLEC’s Communities of Inquiry are one-hour online collaborative workshops designed to support school leadership teams. They are available to leadership teams that are working with SLEC through the Integrated Professional Learning Model.

In these workshops, school leaders meet with SLEC advisors and colleagues across the department to discuss common challenges or initiatives in contemporary learning and teaching. They explore how professional learning can shape quality teaching practice in their schools.

In each session, participants will:

  • hear from, and interact with, educators who have successfully trialled, tested, and evaluated change initiatives in their own schools
  • share their first-hand experiences of how their professional learning—and that of teachers in their school—has supported positive changes in practice.

The course is designed for participants in IPLM schools who are leading current change initiatives. Participants must be working in a school that has an existing partnership with SLEC.
