Middle leaders induction program
The School Leadership Institute is inviting newly appointed, first time Assistant Principals and Head Teachers to enrol in a new online induction program for middle leaders.
Leadership induction focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to fulfil the roles and responsibilities of middle leaders in NSW public schools.
Starting in Week 1, Term 3,the program runs for 10 weeks and involves a live webinar with Matt Church, four self-paced e-learning modules, five seminars and a facilitated collegial conversation.
The online modules will focus on the core themes of:
- leading learning,
- leading self,
- leading others, and
- leading inquiry.
Key DoE staff will present seminars covering the disability strategy, fraud and corruption, leading for improved Aboriginal outcomes, performance and improvement, and expectations of leading teaching and learning.
The program is open to Assistant Principals and Head Teachers appointed to their role since June 2019. Course fees will be covered by the School Leadership Institute.
