New professional learning opportunity for all public school principals

The SLI is excited to be delivering a new leadership learning opportunity for all NSW public school principals next term.

Our Principal Leadership Learning (PLL) program aims to provide educational leaders with the skills to strengthen their leadership and have a greater impact on student and teacher learning.

It has 3 elements:

  • the Insights Series for Principals - a series of webinars and facilitated discussions
  • Leadership Conversations: From the Field – smaller facilitated group discussions focused on contextual challenges
  • a new Principal Leadership Resource Hub curated by the SLI.

The Insights Series for Principals will feature global leadership and pedagogical experts Matt Church, Andy Hargraves and Michael Fullan. Registrations have opened for the first two Editions of the series delivered by Matt and Andy.

The details for the first two Editions are:

Edition 1

Reigniting cultures that inspire with Matt Church

Session 1: Keynote address, Wednesday 4 May from 10-11:30 am

 Edition 2

Refocusing genuine student engagement with Andy Hargreaves

Session 1: Keynote address, Tuesday 10 May from 10-11:30 am

Session 2: Facilitated discussion, Tuesday 31 May from 10-11:30 am

The second element of the program, Leadership Conversations: From the Field, is a series of smaller group discussions with Matt Church. These will begin in Term 2 and there will be 4 sessions, available for up to 100 principals each session.

Registrations for this will open in Week 8.

And the final part of the PLL is a new Principal Leadership Resource Hub, curated by the SLI, with a range of webinars, videos, podcasts and other resources. This will be available in Term 2.
