Congratulations to our new APLP participants
More than 70 school leaders to take part in next round of Aspiring Principals Leadership Program
22 December 2020
Congratulations to the 71 school leaders selected to take part in the next cohort of the School Leadership Institute’s prestigious Aspiring Principal Leadership Program (APLP) next year.
These participants make up the fifth cohort of school leaders to take part in the APLP, the SLI’s flagship program for school leaders who are preparing for principalship or seeking to enhance their leadership impact.
Participants were selected from public schools across the state, ranging from Albury in the south, to Walgett and Tibooburra in the west and the Northern Rivers area. Leaders from schools in the Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong areas will also be taking part.
They will be joined by 12-14 highly experienced principal facilitators during the year-long program.
The first leadership seminar for cohort five will be held on 22 March 2022.
All participants in the APLP must successfully complete a rigorous selection process. This includes a written application, digital story, referee comments and a leadership conversation with the selection panel.
The APLP develops the leadership capabilities of school and system leaders and helps improve student learning in our schools.
