Future directions to support school improvement

Schools reflect on their self-assessment processes and on-balance judgements using the SEF to determine their future directions to support school improvement. The ‘Future directions to support school improvement’ is an optional aspect of the panel meeting which enables school leadership teams to engage in collaborative discussions to inform and affirm future school planning.

The ‘Future directions to support school improvement’ can be considered by the school prior to the meeting and captured in the School Planning and Reporting Online (SPaRO) software. If this option is used by the school, the information can be captured in the panel report.

Things to consider

  • What does our self-assessment tell us about our current state?
  • What elements have been identified as potential areas for growth and development?
  • How can these opportunities be embedded into the new school planning cycle?
