The 2019 Annual report has been streamlined and offers a more automated process than in previous years. Most mandatory sections are now auto-populated with available data sources and generic statements in School Planning and Reporting Online (SPaRO). As some data is not centrally available, schools will continue to complete some sections.

Schools can include optional commentary or analysis throughout the report to provide context and interpretation on the auto-populated data provided.
SPaRO information and requirements
System requirements for viewing the SPaRO software are Chrome, Edge, Safari or IE11.
SPaRO is accessed through My Applications in the staff portal.
Within AMU, principals can assign themselves access at the principal level. They can then assign contributor access (editing rights) or staff access (read-only rights) to other users in their school.
The principal is the only user with rights to publish the Annual report.
Completing the sections in SPaRO
The overview table below summarises the sections which require action, or where action is optional:

|School plan - Strategic directions||Complete the annual milestone for each process in the Implementation and progress monitoring tables in the School plan section of SPaRO. Content on resources, funding sources and evaluation will be auto-populated in the report. Alternatively, select the pencil icon to edit this section in the annual report.||Include commentary on overall progress and next steps for each strategic direction.|
|Key initiatives and other school focus areas||Complete the annual milestone for each key initiative funding in the progress table in the School plan section of SPaRO. Content on resources, funding sources and evaluation will be auto-populated in the report. Alternatively, select the pencil icon to edit this section in the annual report.||NA|
|Student information||Schools are required to ascertain the post school destinations of their school leavers from years 10, 11 and 12. This is included in the post school destinations table as a percentage of the student body.||Include commentary to support the auto-populated student information.|

Include commentary on the implementation of the Aboriginal Education, Multicultural Education and Anti-racism policies.
