Teaching standards in action

The Teaching standards in action (TSA) resource is the department's centrepiece for promoting standards-based teaching practice across the profession.

This website provides clear, concise support for the teaching standards, accreditation and registered professional development.

It highlights critical messages and links all teachers to accurate, relevant policy information and evidence-based practice in these areas.

As well, it provides a suite of quality registered professional development courses that will support teachers to understand how the framework of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers can shape and strengthen their practice from full accreditation at the Proficient stage, through to the more highly evolved teaching practice of the Highly Accomplished and Lead stages.

The courses on the TSA website adopt a blended approach to professional learning. While the courses are accessible online they are designed to encourage collaborative practice at the school and classroom level.
