The concept space at Australian Technology Park, Eveleigh was established in collaboration with the Information Technology Directorate (ITD) and Assets Management Directorate (AMD) to offer schools a prototype learning space. School principals, leaders, teachers and project management teams can visit the space to interact with furniture, technology and examine how learning and teaching could be supported and enhanced by space and technology.
Face-to-face courses are held at our concept space. Visit MyPL and search for course titles to find out more details on course availability.
Visits to the concept space are available through MyPL bookings of Future-Focused Immersion Experience or by appointment with Futures Learning, for large groups or non-school based personnel.
Concept space time lapse video
In the following video, 'Future schools classroom time lapse' (1 min 20 sec) shows the learning and teaching in quick time within our concept space at Australian Technology Park. This demonstrates how the learning themes can be complemented by pedagogy and technological and spatial elements.
At this point in time, the Futures Learning concept space is not routinely used by students, so student excursions or student visits cannot be booked. Futures Learning continues to deliver professional learning for staff and is working towards developing a range of other opportunities for all public schools across the state. Watch this space.
Trial concept space
You are able to trial the concept space through the Flexible Learning Space by Design course (full day) or the Future-Focused Immersion Experience (2 hour taster sessions previously known as ‘open days’). See our professional Learning calendar for more detail.
