Evaluation questions

Evaluation questions are the questions we seek to answer when we plan an evaluation. The questions are usually framed in terms of:

  • why are we doing this as opposed to something else?
  • is this approach working, for whom and under what circumstances?
  • what are we learning from doing this work?

Framing evaluation questions well will lead directly to the methods that you will use to collect and analyse data.
