The Disability Strategy Innovation Program is now accepting innovative ideas from schools.
Schools can now submit proposals of innovative ideas to the Disability Strategy Innovation Program.
The program will partner with schools to test ideas that improve the learning and wellbeing of students with disability. We want to pilot ideas already underway in a school, or new ideas that haven't been tested yet. We will evaluate ideas so we can build the evidence base for what works.
The team will provide the funding to support the additional staffing and physical resources required, as well as evaluation expertise.
Hear tips for schools applying in the video below featuring Learning and Wellbeing Executive Director, Lisa Alonso Love.
Tips for applying:
- Ideas should be innovative and ambitious
- Ideas need to benefit students with disability
- We need to be able to measure the positive impact
- Ideas should be able to be rolled out in other schools
Principals of all NSW government schools including pre-schools can apply from 28 October 2019 to 21 February 2020 on this Innovation Program application webpage.
