Road Safety Learning Lab
The Road Safety Learning Lab is an interactive website developed by Transport for NSW. It is designed to build and strengthen road safety knowledge for all road users.
The site features simulated crash tests, quizzes, and practical “how-to” videos for pedestrians, passengers, riders and drivers. It’s a useful resource to explore with students to support road safety learning in an engaging way.
Examples of how the learning experiences and resources could be used include:
- Engaging students at the start of a lesson with a hook, such as a simulated crash test or road safety quiz.
- Stimulating group discussion by analysing videos, scenarios or road safety demonstrations.
- Challenging and deepening students’ understanding of road user responsibilities through critical analysis, debate, or reflection.
- Demonstrating key road safety concepts through practical “how-to” videos and interactive resources.
- Checking student understanding at the end of a lesson with an exit ticket or quick quiz.
- Encouraging students to reflect on and apply safe behaviours in real-life situations.
