Walking to and from school provides an opportunity for children and families to be active while developing and practising safe pedestrian behaviours.
Walk Safely to School Day - Friday ### May 2027
Walk Safely to School Day gives schools an opportunity to engage their community in safe and active travel, reinforce pedestrian safety messages and encourage families to consider walking as part of their regular journey to and from school.
This 20 minute drop-in session is designed for teachers and school leaders planning Walk Safely to School Day. It provides practical advice, ideas and resources to help schools promote safe and active travel and reinforce key pedestrian safety messages
