  • Explore how the characteristics and approaches of age-appropriate pedagogy facilitate and develop foundational skills in English and mathematics.

Available – Week 5 Term 1 2022

Build an understanding of how age-appropriate pedagogy can be implemented into classroom practice whilst meeting syllabus requirements.

 

  • Examine scenarios of how teachers implement age-appropriate pedagogy.
  • Explore teacher examples of programming using a play-based approach and its impact on student engagement levels and learning outcomes.

Available – Week 7 Term 1 2022

Understand how to program and implement age-appropriate pedagogy while meeting the outcomes of the NSW English syllabus.

  • How to implement age-appropriate pedagogy for English in Early Stage 1 classrooms?
  • Examine scenarios of how teachers use age-appropriate pedagogy to specifically address English outcomes.
  • Explore English play-based scenarios where a teacher annotates practice through the lens of the teaching and learning cycle.

Understand how to program and implement age-appropriate pedagogy while meeting the outcomes of the NSW mathematics syllabus.

 

  • How to implement age-appropriate pedagogy for mathematics in Early Stage 1 classrooms?
  • Examine scenarios of how teachers use age-appropriate pedagogy to specifically address mathematics outcomes.
  • Explore mathematics play-based scenarios where a teacher annotates practice through the lens of the teaching and learning cycle.
