This video explores many types of mathematical regularities and structures, including repeated patterns, growing and shrinking patterns, patterns in number words of counting, perceptual and spatial patterns, arithmetic and combinatorial patterns and geometric patterns.
Who should participate?
All K-8 staff wishing to learn about exploring patterns. The video is about 30 minutes long. You might like to watch it on your own or with your colleagues. If you are working with your colleagues, allowing at least an hour would provide you with time to pause the video to discuss key points and play with some mathematical ideas. You will need a notepad and pencil or pen.
