Unit 1 – correlation

A 9-lesson unit for Year 12 with resources.

The lessons and sequences in this program of learning are designed to allow students to investigate bivariate datasets, focusing on the distinction between one-variable and bivariate data and on the relationship between independent and dependent variables.

Students will learn to identify correlation compared to causation, represent bivariate data using scatter plots and create lines of best fit.
