Purpose
This professional learning assists teachers to implement evidenced-based practices in support of improved student numeracy outcomes. There are four courses in the program - each course has an eLearning component and then a deliverable that is recorded in a participant journal.
Who should participate?
Kindergarten to Year 8 teachers.

Content
Completing this eLearning will help teachers to:
- investigate the mathematical knowledge that is foundational to becoming numerate
- explore evidenced-based pedagogies that promote effective teaching of mathematics
- consider approaches to assessment that reveal student's mathematical knowledge
- learn how to differentiate teaching activities to meet student needs.

Completing Course 1: Effective mathematics teaching for numeracy development [Course code RG05174] will contribute to two hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 and 6.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Completing Course 2: Learning progressions as a tool to support student numeracy development [Course code RG05175] will contribute to three hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 2.5.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Completing Course 3: Principles of effective assessment [Course code RG05176] will contribute to four hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 5.1.2, 5.3.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Completing Course 4: Planning for differentiated learning [Course code RG05177] will contribute to two hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 1.5.2, 2.5.2 and 3.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
