This five hour face-to-face workshop follows on from the Term 4 Best Start Year 7 Preparation workshop. It provides support following the administration of the assessment and guides Best Start Year 7 teams through a detailed analysis of school feedback using Scout and PLAN2.
Who should participate?
Year 7 teachers and school leaders of schools who participated in Best Start Year 7 for the first time in 2020. A maximum of two staff members may attend.
The equivalent of two days casual relief funding will be provided to new schools (i.e. completing Best Start Year 7 for the first time in 2020) to support this initiative.
Additional places may become available for both new and continuing school staff. Schools will need to cover the costs of casual relief for any additional participants.

Best Start Year 7 eLearning 2 - Accessing and analysing assessment feedback (registrations open soon)
Participants will be supported to use their analysis to determine student literacy and numeracy needs and plan targeted teaching and learning to address them. School teams will explore teaching strategies and lesson plans aligned to skills assessed in Best Start Year 7.
