Supporting Walk Safely to School Day
Walk Safely to School Day is on Friday, 17th May 2019 and to celebrate the event we’re offering a two day workshop to look at how it can be used to enhance your school’s road safety education and PDHPE program. As student safety is a partnership between schools and families, events like this help reinforce teaching experiences and student learning helping to promote safe active travel within the school community.

Cost: Workshop costs are subsidised by the department’s Road Safety Education Program, which covers morning tea, lunch and workshop materials. One day casual teacher relief is available for each day if your school hasn’t previously attended. Additional teachers are welcome to attend with relief paid by own school. |
Pre-requisites: Some pre-workshop learning and tasks are required. Completing these prior to the workshop will greatly enhance your learning experience on the day. Details provided on registration. Completion of day 1 is a pre-requisite for day 2. |
Completing this two day workshop will contribute 10 hours of NESA registered professional development addressing the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers maintaining proficient teacher accreditation in NSW 2.1.2, 3.3.2, 3.4.2, 6.2.2, 6.3.2 and 7.4.2
