Physical world Design and production investigation
This investigation complements and blends with any existing unit of work in the physical world strand where teachers would like to embed a stronger design and production skill focus in their teaching of science and technology.
Focus question – 'How are forces used for a purpose?'
Students work in groups of 3 to demonstrate how light energy sources are used for shadow theatre design and how forces are used to create movement in shadow puppets for entertainment and storytelling.
The estimated task duration for this investigation is 3-4 hours of learning.
