Who should participate?
All K-6 school staff wishing to understand and implement the NSW Science and Technology K-6 Syllabus.
This eLearning course is designed to be completed independently, however, participants are encouraged to work with a buddy to engage in collegial discussion. It is also possible to work through this course in groups or teams. If working as a group or team, each participant is still required to complete their own participant journal which must be submitted for principal or supervisor verification.

Completing this course will help you to:
investigate time allocations for teaching science and technology
understand the rationale and intent of the Science and Technology K-6 Syllabus
understand the structure of the syllabus and the organisation of content
identify similarities and differences between the current and previous syllabuses
explore ‘working scientifically’ and ‘design and production’
understand how inquiry underpins the learning and teaching of science and technology.
